This is a very famous seed very well known in the Mediterranean. It has been used by the Ancient Egyptians and the Romans where it was named as the Greek Coriander. In Egypt the people used the oil to nourish and moisturise the skin.  It was also used extensively as a digestive aid.  The oil was a treasured part of daily Egyptian life. 

 Black seed was used for over three thousand years for its medicinal and anti inflammatory properties, from Babylon the Assyrians who were the first people to use this  herb and benefit from it, used to name it the tin tir and they took it internally to cure stomach pains and complaints. Its oil was used to cure many external health problems, such as to cure rashes and inflammations of the nose, eyes, mouth and the skin in general. It’s a good cure for any scalp and hair problems including obtaining thick healthy hair and it’s a good source of energy to relieve tiredness and any aches and pains. Knowing all this, it seems like we have a jewel in a form of an herb, and it should be treated with so much importance if it has all this benefits.
